Orlin is a small New Zealand software company. We build applications around what a business actually needs — designed for the job in front of it, rather than adapted from something generic.
What we do
Off-the-shelf software is built for the average case. Most businesses aren't the average case — they have a way of working that already suits them, and end up bending it to fit the tool.
We work the other way round. We start from how the job is actually done, then build software that fits it, for web and for mobile on iOS and Android. Each project is scoped to the client's requirements, built to their specification, and supported after it ships.
Products
An offline-first app for New Zealand rural delivery contractors, built to keep working across a full run with no signal.
- Daily run sheet and map. The day's stops in delivery order, with a map showing at a glance what has been delivered, what is next, and what is still outstanding.
- Route knowledge held against the stop. Gate codes, access notes, hazards and delivery instructions recorded on the address itself, rather than carried in one driver's head.
- Handover and new-driver onboarding. A relief or newly hired driver can take the route on their first day without the regular driver alongside them to explain it.
